There are 7 techniques with at least 20 variations of the above (lead arm, trailing leg, stepping forwards, stepping backwards etc).
The white belt assessment involves the above moves and chaining some moves together. This chaining or joining of the moves and techniques are often called short forms.
These short forms (usually two or more moves together) are used in assessements.
